MMTU meets RSS chief secretary

As a part of its nationwide campaign for inclusion of Meetei/Meitei in ST list, Meetei (Meitei) Tribe Union (MMTU) met RSS Nagpur Maharashtra headquarters chief secretary Samir Kshirsagar and other leaders of the organisation seeking their support in the effort for ensuring inclusion of Meetei/Meitei in the ST list.
In a release, MMTU organisation secretary T Parijat Singh informed that the delegation of the union led by its secretary administration M Churamani Meetei and Youth Wing convenor H Surjit met the leaders of RSS Nagpur headquarters.
The delegation explained to the RSS leaders that inclusion of Meetei/Meitei in the ST list is a rightful demand and also made them aware about the facts relating to the present unrest in Manipur.
The delegation of MMTU also tried to meet the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
But he was out of station, touring other states.
So, it was directed to meet chief secretary Samir Kshirsagar and office bearers.
A memorandum was also submitted to the RSS leaders and further urged to visit Manipur, Parijat conveyed.
