Thoubal, January 28 2025: Thoubal deputy commissioner (DC) Ahanthem Subash has announced that citizens above 70 years of age will have the opportunity to apply for health cards under PMJAY during the "Meeyamgi Numit" event on February 1 .

Addressing media persons at his office on Tuesday, the DC explained that "Meeyamgi Numit" will be held on the first Saturday of every month, with the next event scheduled for February 1 at the Election Counting Hall of Thoubal DC office complex.

The programme will be held from 10 am to 2 pm for which registration process will commence from 8 am and continue till 1:30 pm.

A special counter will be set up for the enrolment process of PMJAY cards for citizens above 70 years old, the DC informed while also urging participants to bring their application forms along with photocopies of all relevant documents.

Additionally, he appealed to widows to bring death certificates of their spouse to apply for the widow pension scheme.
