Lamlai MLA hopeful of new Govt soon

Imphal, February 27 2025: Maintaining that the NDA allies have the number on their side to form a popular government in the state, Lamlai MLA Kh Ibomcha said that the BJP MLAs are making united efforts to establish the government that the people desire at the earliest, and urged everyone to foster an environment conducive to government formation.

He made the statement on Thursday, during inspection of the black topping of roads in Pungdongbam village area under Lamlai AC and other residential pockets where concrete Toads would be developed.

Speaking on the sidelines of the visit, MLA Ibomcha explained that following the imposition of President's Rule after N Biren tendered resignation as the chief minister in the interest of the people, BJP MLAs are doing their best to form a popular government.

While contending that some political parties, intentionally or inadvertently, caused dismissal of the government and brought the President's Rule in the state, the same parties are demanding formation of a government after PR has been imposed, thereby creating confusion among the public, he said.

MLA Ibomcha went on to explain that as human beings, misunderstandings and differences of opinion are natural.

However, he said that the BJP MLAs are now united and working to form the government that the people desire.

He also appealed to all concerned, including political parties, CSOs and the public, to create a conducive atmosphere for government formation.

Among other projects, the MLA has initiated development of natural grass football stadium estimated to cost Rs 8 crore, set up fire service sub-station at Sawombung, and improve efficiency of staff at various government offices in Sawombung.

Pungdongbam GP pradhan Irungbam Prem was also present during the inspection visit.
