MP Bimol donates 7 ambulances to IRCS

Imphal, June 25 2025:
Member of Parliament for Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, donated seven ambulance vehicles to the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch (MSB), on Wednesday.
The ambulances were procured with the MP Local Area Development (MPLAD) fund.
Speaking at the ambulance handing over ceremony held at the MG Avenue office of the IRCS-MSB, Dr Bimol commended the dedication of Red Cross volunteers and assured continued support.
He also announced plans to provide two boats to the IRCS State branch to further enhance their disaster response capabilities.
The MP mentioned that the ambulances were donated in recognition of the Red Cross Society's humanitarian and selfless service to society.
The vehicles have been allocated to the district branches of IRCS namely Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal and Bishnupur through the state branch, with the objective of strengthening emergency response during highway accidents and natural disasters.
The ambulances are expected to bolster emergency response, particularly during highway accidents and natural disasters.
The event was also attended by IAS (Retd) Dr RK Nimai Singh, imphal West deputy commissioner Mayanglambam Rajkumar, Bishnupur DC Pooja Elangbam, and Y Sher Singh, who is AC to IE DC, among others.
