Rhythms of Manipur to perform in Vietnam

Renowned music group of Manipur, Rhythms of Manipur is all set to perform at Vietnam Festival of India to be organised in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam by Indian Consulate to commemorate the 52nd anniversary of Indo-Vietnam diplomatic ties.
The group has been invited to perform at the said festival by Dr Madan Mohan Sethi, the consulate general of India in Vietnam.
At the festival which will be held from August 25 to 27 at different parts of Ho Chi Minh City, Rhythms of Manipur will perform its national award-winning musical composition 'The Dancing Drums', Manipur State Song 'Sana Leibak Manipur' and other musical numbers.
The festival will commence from Rex Hotel Saigon with the Rhythms of Manipur troupe led by its secretary and founder Rajkumar Sanatomba Singh performing a 20-minute musical show.
A 10-member troupe of the group which includes five women will leave Imphal for the festival on Friday.
It may be mentioned that the participation of Rhythms of Manipur at the Vietnam Festival of India, will be its eighth international tour.
In the past decade, it has toured to Hong Kong and Singapore in 2013; Port of Spain and Laos in 2017; Surin, Thailand in 2018; and Bangkok, Thailand and Kyoto, Japan in 2022 .
