Coronation programme held at Hiimai Taphou

Senapati, January 19 2025: Hiimai (Purul) Taphou has installed Thaisho Thohii Paotei as the village chief in a coronation programme held Saturday.

The chieftainship was officially declared by H Silas Zho, president Senapati District Chiefs' Association.

The village plot was purchased in 2007 and houses were constructed.

Thaisho Paotei promised to work for the welfare of the villagers and expressed gratitude to neighbouring village chiefs for their support.

Purul Union president M Heni,urged the villagers to live peacefully and'act as mediators to resolve problems as RK Remping, chief of Maremei-Ramkamei, expressed delight in the settlement of different villages and encouraged planning for developmental programmes.

A heart-warming folk song was presented by Hiichi Kha while Rev PT Thaisii blessed and unveiled the Royal Square of the village.
