Imphal, October 18 2026: As part of the Indian National Congress's nationwide "Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao" campaign, a motor bike rally was held today in Langthabal Assembly Constituency.

The rally was flagged off by Congress leader Lairenjam Maipak, intending candidate from Langthabal AC, from Chajing Mairenkhong Leikai Lampak.

Speaking on the occasion, Maipak said elections are nation building and asked how nation building is possible if votes are stolen.

He alleged that BJP has colluded with Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to steal votes and said the Congress demands the CEC's removal.

He also accused the BJP of spreading misinformation that the agitation against the CEC was instigated by Congress and of targeting MP Prof Bimol Akoijam instead of addressing people's suffering in Manipur.

The rally, which passed through villages in the constituency, culminated at Chajing Mairenkhong Community Hall.
