Meritorious awards distributed

Imphal, August 18 2024: Association for the Promotion of Meritorious Students of Chingmeirong (APMSC) organised the 32nd annual prize distribution for meritorious students, artistes and sports persons of Chingmeirong at Chingmeirong Sinam Shyama Devi Town Hall on Sunday.

The function was attended by NICL North Eastern Region ex-chief regional manager Akendra Rajkumar as chief guest, RIMS Dental College associate professor, APMSC president Dr Sinam Subhaschandra as president, and District Hospital Bishnupur specialist (An-aesthesiologist) Dr Haobam Sofia, Churachandpur Medical College assistant professor (Anaesthesiologist) Dr Sinam Neetu Devi and CHC Sagolmang MS (O&G) Dr Khoinaijam Neelam as guests of honour.

During the function, over 61 students were felicitated, followed by release of a souvenir for this year.

Meanwhile, Organising Committee of The Okram Sagei Apokpa Trust distributed the meritorious awards for the toppers of Class X and XII examinations conducted by BSEM, CoHSEM and CBSE respectively at Manipur Press Club here on Sunday.

The function was attended by DM College of Science former Mathematics HoD Prof Huidrom Jayanta Singh as chief guest, Okram Sagei Apokpa Trust, Thoubal vice president Dr Okram Kumar Singh as guest of honour and president Okram Sudesh Singh as president.

Awards were also distributed to the best fencing, hockey and football players of the state, followed by distribution of monetary assistance to four elderly women.
