Condemnation pours in against murder of women, kids

Imphal, November 17 2024: The chorus of denunciation against the Kuki militants' abduction and brutal murder of women and children continued to pour in.

In separate releases, Zeliangrong United Committee Manipur Valley, Kabui Union Manipur, Kabui Women's Organisation, Kabui Youth's Organisation, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (Manipur Prant), Salai Apunba Nupi Lamjing Lup, Coordinating Committee Sekmai Kanglatongbi Kanba Lup, Awang Sekmai Scheduled Caste Development Committee, Awang Sekmai Kanba Nupi Lup and Kangleipak Kanba Lup, Manipur strongly condemned the abduction and neinous killing of women and children, calling such acts as inhumane and utterly savage.

While condemning the failure to end the conflict lingering for over 18 months, the bodies urged both state and central governments to make sincere efforts and end the conflict.

They further demanded befitting punishment to those involved in the abduction and killing of women and children.

Barring RSS, the organisations denounced re-imposition of AFSPA in areas under six police stations amidst the unrest situation in the state as Kangleipak Kanba Lup questioned whether state and central governments consider the people of Manipur as bonafide citizens of India or people of adversary nation.
