IIIT, Senapati director calls on Governor

Imphal, August 13 2024: IIIT, Senapati director professor Krishnan Baskar along two other officials called on Governor at Raj on Tuesday and briefed the latter about developmental initiatives taken up in the Institute.

Professor Bhaskar highlighted various achievements including pass percentage along with a good placement record of the pass-out students from the Institute.

As a premier IT institute, students from across the country have been given training in two main departments of Computer Science and Electronics, he said and updated the Governor on progress of infrastructure development in the 150 acres land at Mayangkhang in Senapati district along with inviting him to attend the inaugural ceremony of a hostel building planned on Thursday at the Imphal Campus of the Institute in Mantripukhri, Imphal East.

According to a Raj Bhavan release, the Governor appreciated the institute for its contribution in imparting IT knowledge to youth of the country and expressed his hope that the institute will contribute further for realisation of a knowledge based skilled society.
