Imphal, July 12 2024: In celebration of the 75th Van Mahotsav, 2024, the Central Forest Division, Forest Department has announced free distribution of seedlings programme to promote environmental conservation, increase green cover, and engage the public in tree planting activities.

The distribution programme will be held on July 15 and 16, from 11 am to 4 pm.

Seedlings will be distributed free of cost on "one seedling, one individual" basis at the outlet of Forest Office Complex, Mantripukhri where detailed planting guidelines and maintenance tips will be provided long with each seedling to ensure proper care and growth of the plants.

In a statement, DFO Central Forest Division N Ganesh "encouraged all members of the general public to actively participate in this programme and contribute to a green and sustainable future for our state" .
