PAWF celebrates 17th foundation day

Imphal, February 10 2025: Patriotic Writers' Forum (PAWF) celebrated its 17th foundation day along with convening its annual general body meeting at Manipur Press Club here Monday.

The programme began with offering of floral tributes to the portraits of deceased writers, followed by presentation of the annual report by PAWF secretary Rakesh Naorem and felicitation of various Forum members.

In his speech, Rakesh Naorem informed that various resolutions were adopted during the meeting including precting a memorial stone at the first settlement of Meeteis at Mekhlipara in Tripura and visiting Andaman & Nicobar where the forefathers were exiled after the Anglo-Manipuri War in 1891.He further informed that the Forum plans to visit and connect with Meetei diaspora, and sought the support of the people in this regard.

The programme was also attended by PAWF president Naoroibam Khamba Luwang, former president Yaiskul Khwairakpam, and patron members Dr Laishram Land-honi and Wahengbam Hemabati as presidium members.
