Imphal, March 05 2025:
Expressing remorse over leakage of question papers in the ongoing Class X and XII examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BoSEM) and Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (CoHSEM), All Manipur Students' Guardian Organisation (AMSGO) has stated that it will not take the matter lightly.
In a statement, AMSGO noted that the question paper leak has rendered the examination meaningless and called for timely intervention of BOSEM, COHSEM and the education secretary by initiating legal actions against those involved in the crime.
AMSGO also pointed out that some private school teachers, driven by personal interests, have violated the rules and regulations of the board and council examinations, stressing that they should face strict legal consequences and be taught a stern lesson.
Stating that the question leak issue has undermined credibility of the exam, the organisation stressed the need to address the root causes to prevent future occurrences.
"Recognition of schools by the Board and Council based on personal connections is a contributing factor to such incidents," it pointed out and called for greater awareness and collaboration among the Board, Council, schools, teachers and parents to ensure that such criminal activities are eradicated, or else the education system will be irreparably damaged.
Meanwhile, the organisation commended the Cybercrime SP for the efforts made to check such incidents and urged the people to work together to ensure that similar scams do not recur.
