Nominations invited for Bal Puraskar Awards

Imphal, July 02 2024: Ministry of Women and Child Development has invited nomination of at least three deserving candidates for the Prad-han Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) Awards, 2024 from every district of the state to.

The PMRBP awards are presented to accord due recognition to young brave hearts who have done selfless acts of exceptional bravery for others and to young children with outstanding abilities in the fields of sports, social service, science & technology, environment, art & culture and innovation at the national level.

As per the new guidelines, state governments, UT administrations, DCs/DMs, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Urban Local Bodies, educational institutions may also send nominations for the deserving candidates.

Any child above the age of 5 years but not exceeding 18 years (as on July 31 this year), who is an Indian citizen and residing in India, may apply for the award through the online portal https://awards.gov.in within July 31 .

It may be mentioned that PMRBP awards are conferred by the President of India in a special ceremony held in New Delhi.

The recipient of the awards shall be declared every year on December 26 on the occasion of 'Veer Bal Diwas' .
