SOREPA celebrates Raising Day

The armed Socialist Revolutionary Party (SOREPA), Kangleipak reportedly celebrated its Raising Day on Tuesday with simple functions at different places in Manipur and outside.
According to a SOREPA statement, the Raising Day celebration functions were held at its general headquarters (GHQ), central headquarters (CHQ), battalion headquarters, tactical headquarters and mobile units.
The main celebration at GHQ was attended by chairman Toijam Ibochouba with the celebration function at CHQ attended by SOREPA military affairs secretary Col Chingyang and People's Revolutionary Army (PRA) chief of army staff (COAS) Lt Col Thoiba Mangang.
Highlights of the celebration at all the venues were unfurling of outfit's flag, salute to all martyred revolutionaries of Kangleipak/Manipur and WE-SEA region and reading out the chairman's message delivered on the occasion.
The SOREPA statement issued by publicity and organisation secretary MC Yaifabi further said that farmers, peasants and volunteers guarding territory of the motherland took part in majority of the celebration functions in Manipur.
Interaction with villagers particularly farmers was also held at some places wherein SOREPA placed to the people that permanent normalcy from the prevailing situation will only be brought when people collectively join revolutionary movement and also stressed the need for understanding problems being created by short-term solution.
SOREPA also reiterated its commitment to Work closely with the people in the movement to uproot drugs and contraband items.
