Workshop on women empowerment held

Noney, August 30 2024: A one-day 'Workshop on Women Empowerment through Agri-Allied Farming', jointly organised by Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) and Haochong Farmer Producer Company Limited, was held at Haochong village, Noney district on Friday.

The programme was attended by MSCW chairperson Thumplip Tiningpham Monsang, Haochong SDQ James Pani, and MSCW member T Chuongsin Koireng as chief guest, func-' tional president and guest of honour respectively.

During the technical session, subject experts from horticulture, agriculture, veterinary and banks delivered lectures on various topics such as commercial horticulture farming, scientific farming of agriculture, integrated farming system, livestock vaccination and insurance, schemes and provisions from banks, saving habit in banks, financial literacy and digital awareness.

More than 100 locals from Haochong area took part in the training programme.
