Interaction meet on need for documentation in public services held

The Office of Ombudsman (MGNREGA), Imphal West and Manipur Library Association (MALA) jointly organised an interactive meeting on the need for documentation in public services at Khagempalli Panthak Nganapithong on Friday.
A release issued by Ombudsman (MGNREGA), Imphal West informed that the prpgramme was attended by Imphal West Zila Parishad chairperson Laishram Boby Devi as chief guest, Food Corporation of India consultative committee member (Manipur) Dr RK Pramodini Devi as president, Imphal West additional deputy commissioner Keisham Jadumani Singh as guest of honour and MALA president RK Rameshwor Singh as special guest In his keynote address, Ombudsman Yumnam Laksman Singh reiterated the need for proper documentation in offices, institutions and community-based organisations.
The good work and services rendered by the officials, staff and members of the organisation could not be highlighted due to lack of proper documentation.
Maintenance of records, registers, files, reports, success stories, audio-visual and press clippings are highly required to prove the quality of work done by the organisations.
Manipur University of Culture librarian Dr Th Khomdon Singh expressed the view that documentation requires hard work, dedication and timely recording of all events without delay.
Eminent writers and former presidents of MALA Laimayum Sabita Devi and K Chaoba Singh also shared their valuable ideas and ex -periences in preparing good documentary work in all spheres of life.
