ASUK condoles demise of three PREPAK leaders
Source: Chronicle News Service

Imphal, May 27 2021: Alliance for Socialist Unity, Kangleipak (ASUK), the unified body of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) and Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), has conveyed deep condolence over the sudden and untimely demise of three key leaders of People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) including its acting chairman.

According to a statement of ASUK, acting chairman of PREPAK Khumujam Ratan alias Kh Sathy, organisation secretary Mayengbam Joychand alias Michael Luwang and GSO-1 Lt Col RK Ramananda alias Roger died on May 23 in an unfortunate road mishap and ASUK shares pain and grief of the family members of the deceased leaders as well as of PREPAK.

The ASUK statement issued on behalf of the unified body by chairman M Oken said that acting chairman Kh Sathy was a precious asset of revolutionary movement in Kangleipak and WESEA region and there is no word to describe his untimely demise.

Since joining revolutionary movement, Sathy was a highly disciplined person and always protected doctrine of revolutionary movement without any hesitation and never showed weakness.

From very young age, Sathy was a courageous and dedicated person and later became a revolutionary fighter of the highest regard.

He was arrested and sent to jail multiple times by the adversaries since very young age but he was a friendly person inside the enemy's prison and never wasted time.

He was like the type of peculiar person who could catch fish when thrown into water and comes out picking jewel when thrown into fire.

When he became commander and leader of the outfit, Sathy treated everyone as his near and dear ones and treated everyone equally and always kept the revolution and people in the forefront than anything else, the ASUK statement said, adding Sathy was leader with rational idea, kind hearted and disciplined.

About the deceased organisation secretary Michael, the ASUK statement said that Michael was a young and dynamic leader who had great future possessing two important characters of human eings - work is religion and hard work and discussion and learning all the time.

Just before he set out for the last journey of his life, Michael handed over a patriotic lyric to one of his friends and it reads "Yeknaba kayana nangbu langoi chankhrabadi Lamyanba athouba kayana thawai katkhibadu ningsingu.

Aki-tujung leitana maiyoknarammu lanphamda Tungda lakpa kayagi Iambi yatlammu nakhoina".

The ASUK statement further said that late Michael was a leader who read books related with revolution, wrote articles related with revolution, watched films related with revolution, penned lyrics related with revolution and even his dreams would have been related with revolution.

The ASUK statement further said that late Lt Col Rozer too was a leader who had very bright future and was a courageous and highly disciplined revolutionary.
