Covid count rises to 202 with 13 new cases

Imphal, June 26 2025:
The state reported 13 new COVID-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the total number of cases to 202.Currently, there are 149 active cases in the state.
State IDSP update, based on 653 samples tested across the state since the beginning of the new wave, indicates a positivity rate of 32.5 per cent.
On Thursday, 108 samples were tested out of which Imphal West reported six new cases followed by Imphal West at five while Bishnupur and Thoubal dis trict accounted for one each.
Imphal West has highest number of infections, with 137 positive cases from 417 samples tested, a positivity rate of 32.85 per cent.
Imphal East follows with 48 positive cases from 119 samples, a 40.33 per cent positivity rate.
Other districts reporting new cases include Thoubal with eight positives cases, Bishnupur five, Tengnoupal two, and Kakching & Chandel one each.
There are no reported positive cases from the remaining districts.
Currently, 135 active cases are under home isolation.
In the past 24 hours, 16 individuals were discharged after completing their 7-day home isolation period.
Mention may be made that the state recorded 2149 deaths out of 1,40,002 cases in the initial waves of Covid-19 pandemic which began in the state from 2020 .
