CCS Tura conducts training programme

The Department of Human Development and Family Studies of College of Community Science, Tura (Meghalaya), under Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, conducted a one-day training programme titled "One Life One Team-Building a Supportive Work Environment" .
The training programme held in connection with observance of World Mental Health Day 2024 themed "Mental Health at Work", aims to foster positive work atmosphere for the university's staff.
In his opening address, dean of college Dr Jyoti V Vastrad emphasised the role of institutions in nurturing mental health and eliminating workplace stigma, and underscored the importance of mental health awareness in promoting the holistic growth of employees and the institution itself.
The training was led by Mahesh Masal, a human mindset coach and founder director of CONNECT and VISTAR ZINDAGI, an online university.
He has supported over 64 companies, influenced more than a million young people, and trained 20,000 educators.
Masal, who is also author of book "It is Never Too Late" and a lead trainer at the Higher Education Academy, stressed the importance of being loving, approachable, and supportive to both family members and colleagues.
Masal also encouraged the participants to appreciate life, and urged them to rise above mere survival and embrace a fulfilling existence.
Participants engaged in self-reflective exercises, encouraging both personal and professional growth, followed by a series of outdoor activities designed to build self-confidence and teamwork.
The event drew participation from various staff levels, including MTS to professors.
Stress management exercises and activities meant to reconnect attendees With their inner child were part of the day.
The programme was co ordinated by human development and family studies, CCS, assistant professor Dr Narmada Hidangmayum.
