AdtU holds 11th convocation ceremony

Assam Down Town University (AdtU) organised its 11th Convocation Ceremony at the grand amphitheatre of the university in Panikhaiti, Guwahati on Wednesday.
As per a release by AdtU, the ceremony was presided over by Assam Governor and visitor to the university Lakshman Prasad Acharya, with cabinet minister Jayanta Malla Baruah as the guest of honour.
The proceedings commenced with welcome address delivered by the AdtU chancellor and the vice-chancellor, who expressed their commendation for the remarkable achievements of the graduating class.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Acharya highlighted the pivotal role of education in fostering societal progress and reminded the students that knowledge is not merely a vehicle for personal advancement but a powerful means to uplift and transform the communities.
Among others, the ceremony witnessed conferral of degrees upon a diverse cohort of students, including those pursuing PhD, post graduate, and under graduate programmes and presentation of gold medals to the best post-graduate and best under-graduate of the varsity, recognising their exceptional accomplishments.
AdtU also congratulated all the graduates and wished them success in their future endeavours.
