SAC meeting of ICAR-KVK Churachandpur held

Imphal, January 25 2025: The 18th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting of ICAR KVK Churachandpur was convened on Friday, at the Loktak farmers' training hostel, conference hall, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Lamphelpat, Imphal.

According to a press release issued by KVK, Churachandpur, the meeting was conducted in hybrid mode and presided over by head of the Regional Centre, ICAR Manipur Centre, Dr Ramgopal Laha.

The programme was chaired by ICAR ATARI Zone VII, Umiain, Meghalaya, director Dr AK Mohanty and attended by AC to DC Churachandpur Mangminthang Gangte; NABARD, Imphal general manager Pratho Mandal; and ICAR KVKs nodal officer Dr S Basanta.

Participants also included members from line departments such as NABARD Churachandpur, DAO, DHO, veterinary & animal husbandry, forest department, and fishery department, alongside 61 attendees, including six progressive farmers from Churachandpur district.

During the meeting, senior scientist cum head of ICAR KVK Churachandpur, Dr Manoj Kumar Pandey presented a report on the actions taken in 2024 as per recommendations from the previous SAC meeting.

Subject Matter Specialists, including Dr L Somendro Singh (soil science), Dr S Roma Devi (home science), and others, presented their respective progress reports for 2024 and the action plan for 2025, addressing key developments and future strategies, the release added.
