Workshop on good governance conducted

Chandel/Kangpokpi, December 23 2022: As part of the Good Governance Week celebration, district administration of Chandel organised a one-day District Level Dissemination Workshop at the conference hall, Mini Secretariat, DC Complex, Chandel on Friday with lectures on good governance practices and initiatives delivered by resources persons from District Education Department, Health Department and Public Works Department.

During the discussion hours, Chandel deputy commissioner Mayanglambam Rajkumar and other officials discussed issues and ways for delivering better governance.

The DC Chandel expressed his desire and plans to develop at least one government school each as model school in the three sub-divisions of the district.

The workshop was also attended by ADC Chandel CEO, addition DC Chandel, SDOs, DLOs and other officials of the district.

Similarly, district administration Kangpokpi organised a workshop under the theme Good Governance practices and initiatives of Kangpokpi district' at the multi-purpose hall, DCs Office Complex.

The workshop was held as part of the five-day Good Governance Week' celebrations being held across the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Kengoo Zuringla mentioned how the government has undertaken various citizen-centric initiatives including redressal of public grievances, online services, disposal of service delivery applications and good governance practices.

She also said that the vision is to expand the outreach of service delivery mechanisms, making them more effective.

Presentations were also made on Good Governance best practices and initiatives in At)C Schools, Kangpokpi, in Power Department among others.

The workshop was also attended by SHADC CEO James Doujapao Haokip, MSPDCL DGM Thanglalsam, among others.
