Legal notice served to PAPPM president

Imphal, September 23 2024: On behalf of senior advocate and Taragi Cheisu chairperson Khaidem Mani, advocate Meihoubam Rakesh has issued a legal notice against People's Alliance for Peace and Progress Manipur (PAPPM) president M Boby Meitei.

The legal notice was served in response to a statement of PAPPM issued on September 14 and published by some local dailies.

The PAPPM statement made several allegations against Khaidem Mani and even questioned the personal and professional integrity of Khaidem Mani.

The statement accused Khaidem Mani of trying to mislead the public on the role of the chief minister on Unified Command structure.

On behalf of Khaidem Mani, advocate Rakesh demanded withdrawal of the allegations levelled against Khaidem Mani within seven days, apart from issuing a public apology from the side of PAPPM.

It also warned of initiating appropriate legal proceedings including civil and criminal defamation suit if the legal notice is ignored.
