UGs netted; arms, vehicles recovered

Imphal, April 23 2025:
Security forces apprehended cadres of different armed outfits, recovered arms and stolen vehicles during search operations conducted in different areas.
According to Manipur Police Control Room, a cadre of the armed KCP (Nongdrenkhomba) identified as Tongbram Dolly Devi (20) of Kadangband Mayai Leikai, presently residing at Uripok, was arrested from near Lamphel super market traffic island on Tuesday.
The same day, security forces arrested a PREPAK cadre identified as Wangkheirakpam Nandi Singh (42) of Loushangkhong Makha Leikai and another cadre of SOREPA identified as Laishram Nong-damba alias Lanleiba (25) of Hiyangthang Makha Leikai from Napet Palli Thongkhong under Lamlai police station.
A mobile phone was recovered from the latter.
On Monday, security forces arrested a cadre of KCP (PWG) identified as Sorokhaibam Malemnganba alias Ori of Wangjing Lamding Cherapur Thounaojam Leikai from Wangoo Sadankhong, while police arrested a cadre of KCP (PWO) identified as Longjam Tony Singh (37) of Thangmeiband Polem Leikai from near Mangal Hospital, Kekrupat.
Two mobile handsets were recovered from Tony, accused of involvement in extortion in Imphal area.
The release further stated that a special drive of Manipur police led to recovery of 15 stolen vehicles on Monday while 53 vehicles had their tinted glass removed.
Security forces also recovered a carbine, an SLR rifle, seven magazines, 73 rounds and one Baofeng set with charger from Mongjam Ching under Heingang police station, it added.
