Imphal, October 18 2026: Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF), Manipur released its literary journal "Ngaklou" at Manipur Press Club on Friday.

Langthabal AC MLA Karam Shyam, who attended as chief guest, expressed concern over rising incidents of violence and moral degradation in society, stating it raises questions about the future.

Every responsible citizen must think of fostering unity and mutual help instead of blaming, he added, lauding PAWF for installing statues of Manipuri icons outside the State.

Wangkhei AC MLA Th Arunkumar said PAWF's efforts to preserve literary works of ancestors as treasure for future generations are commendable and its role in strengthening ties among Meiteis residing in Assam, Tripura, Bangladesh and Myanmar is significant.

PAWF president Naoroibam Khamba Luwang, former president Yaiskul Khwairakpam and former Chairperson of State Social Welfare Board Rk Nayansana attended.

Members who participated in the Bangladesh, Tripura and Assam tour and donors of Irawat statue at Guwahati were felicitated.
