Hajarimayum Roji honoured with prestigious awards

Kakching, August 16 2024: In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Hajarimayum Roji Devi, who is film producer, scriptwriter, director, artiste, and humanitarian among others, received prestigious awards from the Welred Foundation, an organisation recognised by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Acknowledging her contributions in different fields, she was awarded the Mahatma Gandhi Iconic Peace Awards, 2025; Swami Vivekananda Philosopher Award, 2024; Mother Teresa Social Reformer Award, 2024; Netaji Subhaschandra Nationalist Award, 2024; and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Unity Award, 2024 .

Roji was born to H Robindro Sharma and Promila Devi on November 6, 1986, at Tronglaobi Makha Leikai and is the better half of Brahmacharimayum Sushilkumar Sharma of Bamon Leikai.

Presently the secretary of Alternative Theatre Group, Imphal and founder director of Changjou Film Production, she has been working for development of Manipuri film and theatre and is also a script writer, actor and director.

Moreover, Roji is also an active member of Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch and a coordinator for IRCS Imphal East blood cell.

Meanwhile, Alternative Theatre Group and Changjou Films Production lauded Hajarimayum Roji on receiving the prestigious awards presented by Welred Foundation.
