International conference concludes

The 8th International Conference on "Harmony in Action: Exploring the Intertwined Nature of Sustainability.
Health and Spirituality", successfully concluded in Bangkok on June 7, 2025 .
A joint initiative by Sustainable India and Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep (RMUTK), the conference brought together a diverse group of academics, researchers, and students to chart a path for a more sustainable future.
As per a release issued by Manipur University, the landmark event was held from June 3 to 7, at the Institute of Science Innovation and Culture, RMUTK, Thailand in partnership with Manipur University, Imphal, and Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Guwahati.
For the conference, the Vice Chancellor of Manipur University nominated four invited speakers, namely, Prof Moirangthem Hemanta Meitei (Head, Department of Economics); Prof Kshetrimayum Anand Singh (Department of Statistics); Dr Semjam Sunil Singh (Department of Biochemistry); and Dr L Pungding (Department of Physical Education and Sports Science).
Prof Laishram Thambal Singh, Head, Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, Manipur University, acted as the coordinator of the conference.
A significant delegation of over 70 participants from Manipur University, National Sports University, Tezpur University, LNIPE, ICFAI University, and other colleges was a testament to the strengthening of educational and cultural ties.
Over the course of a five-days, delegates engaged in dynamic discussions centred on critical sustainable development goals, including good health, quality education, gender equality, and peace.
The conference began with a welcome address from Associate Prof Saichol Chudjuarjeen, Vice President of RMUTK, followed by the inaugural speech by Chatchai Rakthin, Associate Director, Institute of Science Innovation and Culture, RMUTK.
A significant highlight of the event was the felicitation of the knowledge partners, with special acknowledgment given to Dr Yaoping Liu, Director of the Institute of Science Innovation and Culture at RMUTK, for the university's pivotal role.
Distinguished speakers animated the sessions, including a keynote address by the eminent Prof Dr Banjob Bannaruji who made a memorable speech in regard to the worldview of Buddhism in economic life, and a thoughtprovoking plenary session by Dr Metteyya Beliatte.
The conference ended with a valedictory session enlightening and connecting the conference with the divine power of Sri Aurobindo.
