Bank of Baroda opens NIT branch at Langol

Imphal, July 12 2024:
A new branch of Bank of Baroda has been opened at the new building of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Manipur at Langol on Friday.
The new branch under Bank of Baroda, Jorhat region was formally opened by bank's North East State Zone general manager Sonam Bhutia in the presence of NIT Manipur director professor Somanyajulu, registrar professor Kh Tomba Singh, Bank of Baroda, Jorhat region head Lop-shang Sherpa and Bank of Baroda, NIT branch manager Khusbu Devi Naorem.
According to Sonam Bhutia, the new branch will provide banking facilities to not only students and teachers of NIT Manipur but also to the locals.
The bank will provide mobile banking, net banking and loan facilities to customers, Bhutia added.
On the other hand, NIT director professor Somanyajulu appealed to officials of the bank to open an ATM booth at the new branch so that students could avail easy transaction facility as well.
