Medical camp held, relief items distributed

Indian Army conducted a dental and medical camp, as well as an awareness lecture at Loukoipat relief camp in Bishnupur district on Sunday which provided essential healthcare services to over 310 internally displaced people (IDPs) of all ages.
A dedicated team of dental and medical officers, along with nursing assistants from the Indian Army, conducted basic dental and healthcare checkups, providing immediate medical attention to those in need.
Essential medicines were also provided free of cost at the camp's medicine counter.
The awareness lecture, delivered by a medical officer, focused on lifesaving measures, including CPR procedures.
In addition, footballs were distributed to the children residing in the camp to promote sports.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles initiated a comprehensive relief effort of delivering essential supplies to flood affected people in Bashik-hong in Imphal East district on Sunday.
Vital items such as food, clean water, ration, and other essentials were distributed to help alleviate the hardships faced by those impacted by the floods, said a press release of PRO IGAR (S), adding that Assam Rifles is committed to stand by people of Manipur during challenging times and providing the support needed to help individuals and families recover and rebuild.
The PRO also pledged that Assam Rifles will continue to monitor the situation closely to provide assistance and support.
