Security advisor Kuldiep visits Jiribam

Jiribam, November 30 2024: Security advisor Kuldiep Singh on Saturday arrived here to inspect the security arrangements in the district.

After reaching the district in an Indian Army helicopter on early morning of Saturday, the security advisor held a meeting with security forces top officials and held a detail discussion on security arrangements in the district.

Speaking to media persons in regard to his visit, Kuldiep Singh revealed that the purpose of his visit was to review the security arrangements in aftermath of numerous violent incidents including killings that have occurred in the district.

He assured that security has been beefed up to prevent repeat of more such unwanted incidents in the district.

Informing that NIA has begun investigations in three cases related to incidents in Jiribam, the security advisor reiterated that additional security forces have been deployed in various parts of the district to preclude any more violent incident.
