Business-oriented training programme concludes

The two-day training programme on diversification, business development and profit planning' organised by Institute of Co-operative Management (ICM), Imphal and Manipur State Co-operative Bank CSP Cell under the sponsorship of Co-operative Development Fund for Comprehensive Support Plan of NABARD Manipur Regional Office at ICM conference hall concluded on Wednesday.
The valedictory programme was attended by Manipur State Cooperative Bank Ltd president P Ranjit Singh as chief guest, ICM director Khoichung Rangamlian Aimol as functional president, and vice president Yumnam Subhachadra and board of director Oinam Rajkumar as guests of honour.
Speaking at the programme, P Ranjit opined that the state will progress if its co-operative sector is developed along with pointing out that the central government has been prioritising development of cooperative sector.
A ministry exclusively for co-operative sector was set up in 2021 under which several schemes and development programmes have been initiated.
As such, there is a need for incorporating with the movement of co-operative in the country, he added.
The programme was attended by 20 selected Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) .
