Imphal, July 27 2024:
Pointing out that an enquiry against authorities of Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM) is currently underway by a three-member panel, Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has asserted that no employees of the Board should be transferred to other departments prior to the completion of the enquiry.
In a release, DESAM H/O secretary education Oinam Ramesh said that the state education department issued an order for completion of the enquiry within twenty days, yet there are no signs of wrapping up the probe even after two months.
All those higher up officials of BSEM involved in the wrongdoings will be made public if the government failed to complete the enquiry and take actions within July 31.Recalling statement of DESAM about wrongdoings by some officers without the approval of the board, he reminded that education department issued an order for instituting an enquiry committee considering the importance of the issue and directed to submit the enquiry report within 20 days.
The Education minister should stop the attempt being made to transfer an officer of the board under probe.
No employee should be transferred from BSEM until the enquiry is completed and action taken up against the wrongdoers, he demanded.
