IEC camps on central schemes cover Kholmun, Machi villages

CHURACHANDPUR: A significant outreach initiative was undertaken by the Churachandpur district administration under the supervision of Tuibong SDO Jangminlen Lupho on Wednesday in continuation of the IEC and Benefit Saturation Camps on "Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA)" .
The camp conducted at the ECA Church Compound, Kholmun village, for Tuibong Block had 10 members of the State Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign team, initiated by the Tribal Affairs Department engaging with local residents and disseminating crucial information on government schemes and programmes.
During the event, DC Dharunkumar S, along with the IEC team, inspected the stalls set up, overseeing the services and facilities provided tp residents and ensuring the effective implementation of outreach programmes.
As part of efforts to promote constitutional awareness, District Level Samvidhan Hit Diwas (Constitution Day) was also observed at the camp, highlighting the significance of the Constitution in the country's governance.
The IEC team explained that under the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan, if a household scores 500 in a particular parameter or threshold, they can approach the deputy commissioner (DC) or sub-divisional officer (SDO) concerned for further assistance, benefits, or support.
The schemes aim to improve the lives of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and other marginalised communities.
Key highlights included stalls set up by Medical, Social Welfare, SDO Office-IT, PHED, CAF & PD, Forest, ICDS, Agriculture, and Electricity departments to address the villagers' concerns and queries.
Essential services included Aadhaar enrolment and updates, free health check-ups, and distribution of medicines to residents of Kholmun and surrounding areas.
District level officers (DLOs), line department staff, and residents from different communities of Tuibong Block attended the DAJGUA camp, organised under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs to provide a platform for villagers to avail themselves of benefits from various government schemes, interact with line department officials, and receive assistance in resolving their queries and issues.
TENGNOUPAL: The Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) awareness and saturation campaign was conducted on Wednesday at the Machi community hall, under Machi sub-division in Tengnoupal district.
Attended by Machi SDO/BDO Md Nazmul Huda Khan, the village chairman, and district-level officials, the event saw strong public participation, marking a significant outreach to Machi village in Tengnoupal district.
During the programme, officials from 15 line departments opened stalls and actively engaged with the public, ensuring direct and effective service delivery - including enrolment, registration, enquiry, and updates on several schemes under various departments.
Speaking on the occasion, officials from various departments highlighted their respective schemes, which are included under the convergence of schemes, and raised awareness among villagers about how to avail themselves of the services provided by the government.
As part of the event under the IEC campaign of DAJGUA, an awareness and painting competition was also organised at Machi High School in two categories, and prizes awarded to the top students in each category.
The public response was highly encouraging, with many expressing appreciation for the government's proactive outreach to such a remote part of the district.
