Govt should acknowledge public suffering: Satyabrata

Imphal, November 24 2024: The ruling government needs to acknowledge that the state is experiencing immense hardship, Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Thokchom Satyabrata has stated.

On Sunday, people from different polling stations of Yaiskul AC gathered at Youth Athletic Star Union Complex in Brahmapur Bheigyabati Leikai.

The crowd then took out a rally till the residence of Yaiskul MLA and state assembly speaker Satyabrata.

During the rally, the protestors chanted slogans like "The Yaiskul MLA should not resign", "Yaiskul cannot be a leaderless constituency", and "Punish the killers of civilians" .

At the speaker's residence, the protesters had'talk with the MLA.

Sharing his views, Satyabrata said that it is no longer the time to have double thoughts when one has come forward to serve the people.

He then Stressed that the ruling government needs to understand and acknowledge crisis in the state and suffering of its people.
