AR pays homage to Indo-China War martyrs

Assam Rifles conducted two solemn ceremonies in Moreh, Tengnoupal district, on October 20 and 21, to honour the supreme sacrifices of 59 brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the Indo-China War in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, on these dates in 1962.In a release, PRO IGAR (S) said the soldiers exemplified unmatched courage, loyalty, and camaraderie in the face of overwhelming odds, embodying the highest traditions of AR and their legacy is etched in the annals of history, serving as a beacon of inspiration for future generations.
The ceremonies included a wreath-laying followed by motivational speeches that recounted the heroic acts of these soldiers.
Over 300 AR personnel participated in the homage, offering a Guard of Honour as a mark of deep respect.
The nation will forever remember their sacrifice with reverence, added the PRO.
