Imphal, August 22 2026: The Koren (Koireng) Youth Organisation, Manipur (KYO-M) has expressed profound sorrow over the untimely demise of its former leader, R Rithang Koren.

In a condolence message, the organisation said that R Rithang Koren, of Utonglok village, Kangpokpi district, passed away on August 16, 2026 at the age of 63.He is remembered as a respected leader and dedicated public servant who made meaningful contributions to the Koireng community.

He served as general secretary of the KYO-M from 1989 to 1991 and later as president from 1996 to 1998.The KYO-M said his passing is a great loss to his family, friends and the Koireng community and that his years of service will remain a lasting part of the organisation's history.

The organisation extended deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for his soul to rest in eternal peace.
