Three Jiribam villages listed for DAJGUA campaign

Under the fortnight long Dharti Aaba Abhiyan - Awareness and Benefit Saturation campaign launched nationwide by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs on June 15, three villages in Jiribam district have been enlisted for holistic and sustainable development.
The campaign, aimed at raising awareness and ensure the comprehensive delivery of various government schemes, programmes, and services under the DAJGUA scheme - a time-bound mission focused on service saturation, infrastructure development, and the empowerment of tribal communities, was formally launched at Chotobekra village on Monday.
The two other villages in the district to be covered under the campaign are Jairolpokpi and Bhutangkhal.
The district administration, in coordination with relevant line departments, will facilitate on-the-spot provision of services and benefits across multiple government schemes during the campaign period.
These include key initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, house electrification and off-grid solar systems, New Solar Power Scheme, implementation of the Forest Rights Act, 2006, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, National Health Mission, the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Anganwadi services, Skill India Mission, and PM Matsya Sampada Yojana, among others.
