SCPC organises free health camp

Imphal, April 17 2025: Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC) in collaboration with Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Sagolband, organised an Ayushman Arogya Shivir -free health camp at the newly inaugurated Shree Shree Radha Mandap (Hall) at Sagolband Salam Leikai Mamang Leirak on Wednesday.

A release issued by Sagolband MLA's PRO Ng Sashikanta, informed that the camp conducted under the supervision of MLA RK Imo was attended by over 130 residents.

The camp offered a range of essential services, including screening for early diagnosis of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Tuberculosis (TB), breast, oral, and cervical cancers, blood pressure, and diabetes, apart from conduct of awareness sessions on various government health schemes, especially Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), creation of ABHA IDs under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) for attendees, facilitation of Ayushman Bharat Health Cards under AB-PM-JAY for eligible citizens, eye & general medicine OPD, laboratory tests, immunisation services and distribution of medicines to those in need.

In a message, MLA Imo said: "Though the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) is available in the constituency and serving the people of Sagolband and nearby areas, the series of free health camps are being organised across the constituency with the aim of enhancing health awareness and ensuring doorstep delivery of health and e-governance services, thereby making healthcare more accessible" .
