Imphal, June 14 2021:
Apart from urging the government to book and punish all those involved in siphoning off NFSA rice for the first four years of 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly term, former MLA RK Anand Singh has demanded a white paper on distribution of NFSA rice in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa assembly constituency.
RK Anand physically inspected mass COVID-19 testing conducted on Monday at Lairenjam Sabal Maning community hall and distributed hand sanitizers, face mask, drinking water and edibles from his side.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the inspection, RK Anand drew attention of the chief minister and the CAF & PD minister and said that he received numerous complaints from beneficiaries about non-distribution of NFSA rice for around four years in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC.
Missing of huge rice should be investigated and all those involved in siphoning off the rice allocation should be booked and punished by the government, he said and also demanded a white paper on the matter.
He further said that government should identify who are at fault, be it contractor or local rice agents and punish them fittingly while maintaining that not a single rice of the AC should be lost.
He then appealed to local clubs and organisations to work collectively so as to ensure that people of the constituency get PMGKAY rice till November as announced by PM Narendra Modi.
