Police net 7 goons including 5 minors

Imphal, May 13 2024: Police rounded up around seven goons including five minors, accused of intimidating civilians in Paona and Thangal Bazar areas of Imphal City for the past few days.

Two of the arrested individuals have been identified as Khumukcham Brainy (19) s/o Bobo of Kongba Makha Nandeibam Leikai and RK Ronish (22) s/o Ramesh of Keishampat Thokchom Leikai, while the remaining five individuals are Child in Conflict with Law (CCL) .

According to a police report, on receiving reports of some group of people intimidating civilians in Paona and Thangal Bazar areas over the past few days and videos of the same going viral on social media platforms, City PS registered a case and launched an investigation.

During the course of the investigation, the seven people including the five CCL were rounded up, it conveyed.
