Imphal, March 11 2025: Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC), in collaboration with Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Sagolband, organised a 'Special Health Camp' at Paona Bazar on Tuesday.

The event was held under the supervision of MLA RK Imo Singh.

The health camp, part of a series of such initiatives launched since 2022, aims to bring essential medical services and e-governance health solutions directly to the people.

The camp focused on ensuring inclusivity and healthcare accessibility for all sections of society, said a press release of PRO to MLA, Sagolband AC.

A wide range of free medical services were offered at the camp, including OPD consultations, screenings for blood pressure, diabetes, oral, breast, and cervical cancer, immunization for children, free medicines and laboratory tests, ABHA ID (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) creation, and specialised eye OPD services, benefitting over 150 people.

MLA RK Imo emphasised the importance of mobile health camps in reaching a larger section of the community, particularly those in Ward No 24, including the residents of Paona Bazar.

He noted that while the UPHC, Sagolband, has been operational since 2021, these outreach programmes play a crucial role in bridging the gap between medical services and underserved populations.
