Hyundai records sales of 64,803 units in June

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has confirmed sale of 64,803 units in June 2024, including 50,103 units sold domestically and 14,700 exported.
Though the figures represent slight decline of 1.22 per cent from June 2023, the overall performance for the first half of the calendar year 2024 (Hl CY2024) has been robust.
According to a press statement issued by HMIL, the company recorded total sales of 3,85,772 units in Hl CY2024, which is a 5.68 per cent increase compared to the same period the previous year.
Domestic sales grew by 4.65 per cent, reaching 3,09,772 units, while exports saw a 10.11 per cent increase, totalling 76,000 units.
HMIL's performance has been the strong Contribution of SUVs, which accounted for 66 per cent of domestic sales in Hl CY2024.The new Hyundai CRETA played a pivotal role, with 91,348 units sold, reflecting an 11 per cent growth over the same period last year.
Commenting on the performance, COO of HMIL Tarun Garg expressed satisfaction with the company's progress.
He highlighted the success of their SUV segment and attributed the overall growth to the positive reception of new models.
Despite a minor dip in June's monthly sales compared to the previous year, HMIL's strategic focus on SUVs and continued innovation have driven substantial growth and market presence in 2024, he said.
