Imphal, August 29 2026: Helping Hands-Zeliangrongpui Chaptertoday organised its third voluntary blood donation camp at Shija Blood Centre, Langol, in commemoration of the 95th Martyrdom Day of Haipou Jadonang.

A total of 22 units of blood were donated by voluntary donors.

The camp was a continuation of the Chapter's community blood support programme for Zeliangrongpui patients admitted inhospitals in Imphal valley.

"This initiative was started to support our patients who often face difficulties in arranging blood, particularly during the ongoing crisis in Manipur," said the Helping Hands-Zeliangrongpui Chapter.

It appealed to Zeliangrongpui youths, students and working professionals from the hill districts who are currently residing in Imphal valley to come forward and register as voluntary blood donors.

"Our donor network must grow if we are to continue supporting our people in times of need," it said.
