Drug awareness, self-esteem development prog held

Kakching, March 29 2025:
Kakching district administration in association with the District Social Welfare Office (DSWO), Kakching organised an awareness cum self-esteem development programme as part of the District Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA)/Drug Free India Campaign at relief camp of Khomdonbi Memorial (KBM) English School and M Binod Relief Camp, Kakching Khunou.
The campaign aimed to educate and support the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in maintaining a drug-free lifestyle by raising awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and its long-term consequences, while also seeking to equip displaced individuals with practical strategies and resources to help them resist substance use.
The programme was attended by Asian Youth Leader Colombo Plan Nutan Nongthombam as resource person.
A total of 250 and 140 IDPs who attended the event, interacted with the resource person.
KBM Relief Camp convener Mayanglambam Ratan Mangang and Probation Officer, Sanasam Sarat Singh also attended the programme.
