JBC pastor Rev Sh Shrimon ordained

Kakching, January 28 2022: Japhou Baptist Church (JBC), Chandel pas-tor Sh Shrimon was ordained during a ceremony held at Japhou community hall on Friday.

Monsang Naga Baptist Churches Association (MN-BCA) Ordination Committee convener reverend K Kumar administered the act of ordina-tion and invoked God's blessing upon Sh Shrimon in his future ministry.Committee member Th Rockson moderated the cer-emony while MNBCA execu-tive secretary reverend Alani Shongsir delivered the welcome and key note addresses.Sh Shrimon, in his testimo-nial, expressed profound grat-itude to church leaders, chiefs of Maha area of Chandel and all the dignitaries and well-wish-ers who came to attend the ordination programme.

He narrated his humble be-ginning from a lower income family background and how af-ter his matriculation in 1983, he went on to pursue theological studies in Bangalore but could not complete due to financial difficulties.

Shrimon also recalled that he had a brief stint working with Operation Mobilisation India from 1985-1988 .

He also worked as a missionary in Khu-rai Lamlong Imphal in 2000-2001 and had been a MNBCA youth president in 2003-2004 .

Since 2009, he has been work-ing as pastor of Japhou Baptist Church till date and he received licentiate pastor in 2012 at JBC, he added.As a part of the ceremony, a special song by JBC Women Fellowship led by Sh Hintlen & Co was performed along with presentation and words of ap-preciation by Church Board chairman W Phamward fol-lowed by a grand feast of the congregation at Japhou village public ground.
