Imphal, May 26 2024:
Saina Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), Manipur has appealed to all concerned to refrain from causing disruptions to educational institutions but to extend support and cooperation to the disadvantaged and eager students in pursuing medical courses and help them become successful persons.
Addressing media persons in this regard at its Yaralpat complex, SIMS School of Nursing Institute managing director Dr S Kumar said that the institute has been offering assistance to students orphaned or belonging to economically underprivileged families, enabling them to pursue medical-related courses at affordable fee.
Furthermore, the institute has been extending assistance to students affected by the ongoing crisis, particularly those whose houses have been destroyed by armed kuki militants, by facilitating their enrolment in courses at the institute.
He also urged students who aspire to pursue medical courses but lack financial means or information on whom to approach to contact SIMS for assistance.
