Imphal, February 25 2025: The Kanglei San-Gai Ajman, UAE, has requested anyone intending/planning to travel to Dubai, UAE, for vacation or work-related purposes to contact its office.

Addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club, here on Tuesday, Kanglei San-Gai Ajman UAE convenor Jotin Thokchom announced establishment of a company named Loktak Decor Limited Liability in Dubai and a guest house at Up Town 07-Begonya Zahya-01 District, Eastern Sector, Ajman, UAE, under the name of Kanglei San-Gai.

The guest house, a collaborative effort by the Meetei community in Dubai, is intended to provide free accommodation for people from Manipur who come in search of jobs, allowing them to stay until they secure employment.

The guest house also offers guidance on job applications, interview preparation, and an overview of UAE's rules and regulations, he explained.

Jotin also said that Kanglei San-Gai was founded primarily to protect individuals interested in visiting the UAE for work or other purposes from fraud and exploitation by fake agencies that charge exorbitant fees.

So far, Kanglei San-Gai has assisted 14 males and 6 females in securing jobs in Dubai.

Highlighting the financial contribution of India to the UAE, which exceeds 11.3 billion dollars (Rs 97,000 crore), with Kerala being the largest contributor, Jotin stated that if the state government supports the establishment of guest houses in the UAE and helps people from Manipur secure jobs, it would significantly improve the state's economy.

Jotin also announced the upcoming opening of an organic outlet in Dubai with assistance from the state's horticulture department while confiding that process is on for operationalization of a weekly direct flight service from Guwahati to Dubai.
