Continuing dental education prog held

RIMS Dental College Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in collaboration with Indian Dental Association (IDA), Manipur State Branch organised a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) on Patient Specific Implants (PSI) programme at its examination hall on Friday.
As per a release by the Media Cell, RIMS director professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma attended the programme as chief guest in the presence of Dental College principal Dr B Praveen Reddy and IDA, Manipur State Branch president Ratankumar Singh.
Speaking at the event, professor G Sunil informed that the CDE programme will help in educating the state and also the whole country.
The use of dental is not only a necessity but also a part of aesthetic and prosthetic.
Importance of dental is bound to increase in future with the preparation being made of having larger institute by increasing BDS and MDS seats with starting of senior residency with a purpose to provide best facility to the society, he mentioned.
During the CDE programme, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar associate professor Dr Kiran Kumar Boyina briefed about the advantages of Patient Specific Implants (PSI).
The programme was also attended by IDA Manipur honorary secretary Dr Deepak N Singh, doctors, staff and students of Dental College.
