North East Thang-Ta Festival begins

Imphal, January 19 2025: The 6th North East Thang-Ta Festival organised by Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur under the aegis of Union Ministry of Culture commenced from Sunday at Thang Ta Shanglen, Yumnam Huidrom.

In a release, Association secretary Heikrujam Cha Babu informed that the opening function of the 10-day festival was attended by PAHULASHI, Mayaikoibi principal and State Kala Akademi awardee Moirangthem Rajen Meetei, Association president Huidrom Premkumar Singh and Thang-Ta Federation of India former secretary Th Pri-yokumar Singh as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

The festival is being participated by 120 players and instructors from 10 Thang-Ta institutions, it added.
